A roofer in work gloves holding a phone that shows a missed call followed by an automatic text reply from the business

Service

Missed-Call Text-Back.

Never lose another lead because you were on a ladder, under a sink, or on the other line. Every call you miss gets answered by text.

Requires A Business Phone

This runs on a tracked business number. See how that works.

The Pain

The phone rings while you're on a roof. By the time you climb down and call back, that homeowner has already booked the next guy on the list.

How It Works

Four steps. No buttons to press.

  1. 1

    Call Comes In

A homeowner calls your business line while you're on a job.

  2. 2

    You Can't Answer

The line rings for about 20 seconds, giving you a chance to pick up first.

  3. 3

    The Text Goes Out

If you don't, an automatic text goes to the caller from your business number.

  4. 4

    They Reply To You

Their reply lands in your inbox. You answer when you're off the roof.

The Difference

The same missed call, twice.

One afternoon, one homeowner, one call you couldn't take. The only thing that changes is whether anything answered for you.

  • Without Text-Back

    1. 2:16 PM Call missed. Goes to voicemail.
    2. 2:25 PM You climb down and call back.
    3. 2:26 PM No answer. They already called the next guy.

The job goes to whoever picked up.

  • With Text-Back

    1. 2:16 PM Call missed.
    2. 2:16 PM Automatic text goes out to the caller.
    3. 2:17 PM They reply and describe the job.
    4. 2:40 PM You answer between jobs. Conversation is live.

You're still in the running, and you never touched your phone.

Times are an illustration of a typical call, not a guarantee. We set your line to ring for about 20 seconds before the text goes out, so you always get the chance to answer it yourself.

What You Get

Set up once. Runs on its own.

  • Automatic Reply

Sent from your business number the moment a call goes unanswered.

  • Your Words

You write the message. It can use the caller's name when we know it.

  • One Inbox

Every reply lands in one place, on your phone and your desktop.

  • Nights & Weekends

After-hours calls get acknowledged instead of hitting voicemail.

  • No Double Texting

Built as a workflow, so someone calling three times gets one text.

Common Objections

Let's clear them up.

  • Will it sound robotic?

Not unless you write it that way. You give us the wording and we use it verbatim, so it reads like you texted back from the truck. Most owners keep it to one line and a question.

  • Can I stop it texting on Sundays or late at night?

Yes, but it takes more than the basic on/off switch, so it is worth being straight with you. The simple version of this feature has no schedule: switch it on and it replies to every missed call at any hour. We build yours as a workflow instead, which is where the day and time controls live. That is also the safer setup, because automated texts at 11pm are exactly what the texting rules exist to prevent.

  • What if someone calls three times in a row?

They still get one text. Left on its default setting this feature fires on every single missed call, which means a persistent caller gets three messages in two minutes. We build in the wait step and the filters that stop that before your number ever goes live.

  • What if I pick up the call?

Then nothing sends. The text is triggered by the call going unanswered, so answering it is the end of the story.

  • Does texting cost extra?

No. These texts are included in your plan, and normal home services volume stays comfortably inside the monthly allowance that comes with it. You are not billed per message, there is no meter to watch day to day, and we do not charge you for going over. If your regular volume ever approached the allowance, we would talk to you about an arrangement that fits rather than sending you a bill.

See the included allowance in our Terms of Service

We'll set up missed-call text-back on your line, write the message with you, and test it before it ever talks to a customer.
